A Web-Based Positive Psychology App for Patients With Bipolar Disorder: Development Study

A Web-Based Positive Psychology App for Patients With Bipolar Disorder: Development Study

Bohlmeijer and Westerhof [57] argue that there is a need for balanced mental health care. PPIs primarily target the development of resources that support the patient with personal recovery and maintaining mental health. Digital health interventions are increasingly common in mental health treatment. In PP, e Health interventions are known as online PPIs (OPPIs). Studies in this area have shown that OPPIs can enhance well-being and reduce depressive symptoms [58].

Alcohol Avoidance Training as a Mobile App for Problem Drinkers: Longitudinal Feasibility Study

Alcohol Avoidance Training as a Mobile App for Problem Drinkers: Longitudinal Feasibility Study

Independent samples t-tests or Wilcoxon rank-sum tests (continuous variables) and chi-square tests or Fisher exact tests (categorical variables) were used to compare baseline characteristics between posttest responders and posttest dropouts, as well as between follow-up responders and follow-up dropouts. A paired samples t-test was performed to compare alcohol consumption at baseline and posttest.

Augmenting Outpatient Alcohol Treatment as Usual With Online Alcohol Avoidance Training: Protocol for a Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

Augmenting Outpatient Alcohol Treatment as Usual With Online Alcohol Avoidance Training: Protocol for a Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

If necessary, baseline confounders will be controlled for, and significant interaction effects will be further investigated using post hoc t-tests (independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test). Effect sizes on clinically relevant outcomes at postintervention and follow-up will be calculated by Cohen’s d using the means and pooled standard deviations of the measurements of the conditions.

Efficacy of a Multicomponent Positive Psychology Self-Help Intervention: Study Protocol of a Randomized Controlled Trial

Efficacy of a Multicomponent Positive Psychology Self-Help Intervention: Study Protocol of a Randomized Controlled Trial

Independent t tests and Chi-square statistics (X2) will be used to examine baseline differences between the study groups. Non-significant socio-demographic differences at baseline will indicate successful randomization. Internal consistency of the constructs will be determined using Cronbach’s alpha. To examine the efficacy of the intervention, intention-to-treat analyses will be conducted by including all participants in the analyses who have been randomized.
