The Effect of Maternal Choline Intake on Offspring Cognition in Adolescence: Protocol for a 14-year Follow-Up of a Randomized Controlled Feeding Trial

In addition, we will assess multiple aspects of adolescent behavior and mental health using a standardized self-report questionnaire designed for adolescents [2-5]. Findings from this study will provide important information about the long-lasting functional consequences of maternal prenatal choline intake on offspring cognition.

Investigating Challenges in Implementing a Digital Play Intervention in a Complex Organization Across Pediatric Departments: Non-Randomized Controlled Feasibility Trial

Investigating Challenges in Implementing a Digital Play Intervention in a Complex Organization Across Pediatric Departments: Non-Randomized Controlled Feasibility Trial

Only 1 adolescent played it enthusiastically while hospitalized. A total of 7 in the control group and 3 in the intervention group declined to participate, the latter indicating that an appealing intervention creates greater interest in participating. Two from the intervention group who declined to participate reported too much discomfort, and one (girl, 16 y) said it did not appeal to her. The remaining participants found it interesting to participate and were curious about the app.

Development of a Smart Health Care Service Using Metaverse and Chatbot Technologies for Adolescents, Parents, and School Health Teachers: User-Centered Design Approach

Development of a Smart Health Care Service Using Metaverse and Chatbot Technologies for Adolescents, Parents, and School Health Teachers: User-Centered Design Approach

The World Health Organization predicts that 1 in 8 children and adolescents aged 5 to 19 years will be obese by 2030, highlighting childhood and adolescent obesity as the most pressing public health issue of the 21st century [1]. Recent data show a substantial increase in the prevalence of obesity among Korean adolescents, rising from 15.1% in 2019 to 19% in 2021 [2].

The Effects of a Smartphone App (Feelee) to Enhance Adolescents’ Emotion Regulation Skills in a Forensic Outpatient Setting: Protocol for a Multiple Single-Case Experimental Design

The Effects of a Smartphone App (Feelee) to Enhance Adolescents’ Emotion Regulation Skills in a Forensic Outpatient Setting: Protocol for a Multiple Single-Case Experimental Design

The integration of digital phenotyping into TAU could support the enhancement of adolescent emotion regulation skills and increase engagement in forensic outpatient settings. Digital phenotyping involves moment-by-moment quantification through the use of data sources on digital devices (eg, smartphones or smartwatches) to better understand humans’ traits, behavior, and functioning [38,39].

Gender-Based Susceptibility to Mental Health Issues in Adolescents During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Descriptive Study

Gender-Based Susceptibility to Mental Health Issues in Adolescents During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Descriptive Study

Such disruptions could lead to long-term psychological and physiological impacts, highlighting the need to focus on adolescent mental health during the pandemic, given their vulnerability [4,5]. Therefore, it is important to understand the adolescent mental health status during COVID-19, given their susceptibility to mental health challenges.

Feasibility of Data Collection Via Consumer-Grade Wearable Devices in Adolescent Student Athletes: Prospective Longitudinal Cohort Study

Feasibility of Data Collection Via Consumer-Grade Wearable Devices in Adolescent Student Athletes: Prospective Longitudinal Cohort Study

Unlike collegiate and professional athletes who are often provided with acute care within a network of affiliated health care specialists, access to optimal care pathways is less clear for adolescent student athletes following sport-related injury [9,10].

Using Ecological Momentary Assessment to Assess Family Functioning in Spanish-Speaking Parent and Adolescent Dyads: Daily Questionnaire Study

Using Ecological Momentary Assessment to Assess Family Functioning in Spanish-Speaking Parent and Adolescent Dyads: Daily Questionnaire Study

Capturing the dynamic changes in family functioning via EMAs could lead to adaptive intervention messaging based on daily reported family functioning, which in turn influences parent-adolescent family functioning and ultimately, adolescent behavioral outcomes.

Smartphone Ecological Momentary Assessment and Wearable Activity Tracking in Pediatric Depression: Cohort Study

Smartphone Ecological Momentary Assessment and Wearable Activity Tracking in Pediatric Depression: Cohort Study

Adolescent depression is a significant mental health crisis; 14.7% of the adolescent population reports at least one major depressive episode with severe impairment [1]. This trend predates the COVID-19 pandemic [2] and has continued apace [3]. The impact of adolescent depression is severe; a depressive episode leads to immediate debilitating effects plus long-term consequences [4], for example, impaired academic performance [5] and challenges in forming interpersonal relationships [6].

The Role of Early Engagement in a Self-Directed, Digital Mental Health Intervention for Adolescent Anxiety: Moderated Regression Analysis

In another study on the BRAVE Self-Help program, an open-access CBT d MH program for child and adolescent anxiety, only 30% of the 4425 children and adolescents completed more than three sessions, with the greatest clinical improvements made by those users completing at least 6 of 10 sessions [4].
