Algorithmic Classification of Psychiatric Disorder–Related Spontaneous Communication Using Large Language Model Embeddings: Algorithm Development and Validation

Algorithmic Classification of Psychiatric Disorder–Related Spontaneous Communication Using Large Language Model Embeddings: Algorithm Development and Validation

In addition, “tentativeness,” as measured by a higher degree of uncertainty, is correlated with quantitative levels of symptoms of anxiety measured by the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7) scale [6]. These findings underscore the potential of quantitative language analysis as a sensitive and objective measure for monitoring disease trajectories and treatment efficacy.

The Positive Effect of Video-Game Play on College Students’ Anxiety and Depression Symptoms During the COVID-19 Pandemic Shelter-in-Place Lockdowns: Mixed Methods Study

Students aged Since our primary goal was to investigate the association between video game play and the scale of college students’ anxiety and depression symptoms, we used the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) questionnaire for the screening of anxiety [56,57] and the self-administered 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) for the assessment of individual depression [58,59].

Transforming Health and Reducing Perinatal Anxiety Through Virtual Engagement: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Transforming Health and Reducing Perinatal Anxiety Through Virtual Engagement: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

In addition to anxiety disorders and elevations in general anxiety symptoms, pregnant people also experience pregnancy-specific anxiety, an affective state of persistent worry surrounding a pregnant person’s prenatal health, delivery, the well-being of the baby, and future parenting [14]. Pregnancy-specific anxiety is estimated to affect between 14% and 19% of pregnant people [14,15] and appears to be uniquely predictive of adverse birth outcomes like preterm birth.

Analyzing the Contents of a Large, Public Online Peer Support Forum for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Thematic Analysis

Social media is a common platform for social interaction in modern societies, and its use generates a substantial impact on anxiety disorders [11]. While in-person OCD support groups overseen by health care professionals tend to be beneficial for OCD patients [12], such support groups may be expensive or geographically inaccessible for some individuals.

The Impact of Internet Hospital Follow-Up on the Quality of Life of Patients With Epilepsy: Randomized Controlled Trial

The Impact of Internet Hospital Follow-Up on the Quality of Life of Patients With Epilepsy: Randomized Controlled Trial

The quality of life for patients with epilepsy is influenced by various factors, including seizure frequency, comorbid anxiety and depression, and side effects of medication [4]. Anxiety and depression in patients with epilepsy are significantly negatively correlated with their quality of life [5,6]. Therefore, improving the overall quality of life is crucial for patients with epilepsy.

Effectiveness of Neurofeedback-Assisted and Conventional 6-Week Web-Based Mindfulness Interventions on Mental Health of Chinese Nursing Students: Randomized Controlled Trial

Effectiveness of Neurofeedback-Assisted and Conventional 6-Week Web-Based Mindfulness Interventions on Mental Health of Chinese Nursing Students: Randomized Controlled Trial

A neurofeedback experiment has found that the neurofeedback mindfulness regulation can affect the brain activity pattern of patients with anxiety disorder and alleviate anxiety symptoms [36]. However, the evidence on the effectiveness of the neurofeedback-assisted mindfulness on nursing students’ mental health promotion remains limited, and few studies have focused on this population.

Postpartum Depression and Maternal-Infant Bonding Experiences in Social Media Videos: Qualitative Content Analysis

Postpartum Depression and Maternal-Infant Bonding Experiences in Social Media Videos: Qualitative Content Analysis

Mothers with depression shared feelings of anxiety and anger when interacting with their children. Many mothers experienced perseverative intrusive thoughts of something terrible happening to their child. These thoughts frequently related to the child passing away while asleep, though scenarios varied from the child choking while eating to others making the child sick.

Prescriptive Predictors of Mindfulness Ecological Momentary Intervention for Social Anxiety Disorder: Machine Learning Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trial Data

Prescriptive Predictors of Mindfulness Ecological Momentary Intervention for Social Anxiety Disorder: Machine Learning Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trial Data

We extended an earlier RCT [64,65] on generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) to a new SAD sample [66]. This RCT showed that both MEMI and SM produced longer-term effects on SAD and its comorbid symptoms and risk factors, with significant between-group differences in momentary anxiety, depression, and mindfulness but not retrospectively reported symptoms [66]. Hypotheses were 2-fold.
