The Safety of Telerehabilitation: Systematic Review

One study by van der Kolk et al [57], which provided asynchronous telerehabilitation to 23 patients with Parkinson disease, reported 4 serious adverse events: supraventricular tachycardia, hip fracture, fall-related injury, and severe dyskinesia. These events were determined to be unrelated to the control group protocol. Conversely, the same study also identified 4 nonserious adverse events related to back pain, which were found to be potentially related to the control group protocol.
