Our sample size was based on a power calculation for the neural TMS target identification phase of the project using a moderate effect size of 0.65 to achieve 80% power while maintaining the type I error rate at 5%. This effect size is consistent with the WHODAS 2.0 effect sizes reported in a sample of individuals with chronic conditions (0.30-0.70) [71] and a general treatment population (0.44-1.38) [72].
