Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects 4% to 21% of reproductive-aged people with ovaries [1]. PCOS is diagnosed most commonly by the Rotterdam criteria [2], with concurrent presentation of 2 or 3 of the following: evidence of biochemical or clinical hyperandrogenism, evidence of anovulation or oglio-ovulation, and ultrasound evidence of polycystic ovarian morphology [3]. As such, PCOS is a heterogenous condition [4].
