Acceptability and Utility of a Web-Based Patient-Completed Clinical Decision Aid for the Differential Diagnosis of Transient Loss of Consciousness: Qualitative Interview Study

All participants recruited to the quantitative study were also invited to interview; we approached those who consented to interview sequentially. We had a provisional target of 30 participants, using empirical data showing 24 participants reliably achieves saturation, the narrow specification of subject matter, and the study team’s expertise in the subject matter [25]. All participants in the quantitative study completed the PESQ at or shortly after presentation to the ED or primary care with TLo C.

Nurses’ Experience Regarding Barriers to Providing Internet Plus Continuous Nursing: Mixed Methods Study

An interview outline containing 4 questions was used to structure the interview (Table 2). The outline was formed through literature review [27,28] and the quantitative study results, and pilot-tested with 4 participants to ensure the quality and feasibility. Interview outline. What was the driving force behind the initiation of this endeavor? Why was it not implemented? What challenges were faced? Could you share your views on “information continuity”?

Understanding Barriers to Home Safety Assessment Adoption in Older Adults: Qualitative Human-Centered Design Study

Understanding Barriers to Home Safety Assessment Adoption in Older Adults: Qualitative Human-Centered Design Study

Two to three researchers per session conducted the interviews, with 1 lead researcher leading the interview while the other researchers transcribed detailed notes. Figure 1 illustrates this study’s multistep HCD qualitative analysis process, which we followed up to the step of developing design opportunities. We followed a 3-step approach using reflexive thematic analysis [34].

The Lived Experiences of Racial and Ethnic Minority Nurses Exposed to Racial Microaggressions in the Hospital Setting: Qualitative Study

After the tenth interview, the ethnic and racial breakdown of participants was diverse, and the first and second author determined that additional data collection would no longer contribute to new insights, patterns, or themes. Because the participants in this study were interviewed based on specific eligibility requirements, their perspectives were rich enough to reach saturation after 10 interviews.

Hybrid Hospital-at-Home Program in Singapore: Ethnographic Study

The interview guide was developed based on the literature [32,33] and the clinical and methodological expertise of the research team members (SS and SK). The same trained female research assistant (DC) who collected the study data also conducted a pilot interview with one participant to evaluate the flow and relevance of the interview guide, ensuring alignment with the research objectives.

Collecting Real-Life Psychophysiological Data via Wearables to Better Understand Child Behavior in a Children’s Psychiatric Center: Mixed Methods Study on Feasibility and Implementation

At the end of the study, we asked therapists to participate in an interview for evaluation of the feasibility of using and implementing wearables in daily clinical care. Furthermore, the implementation activities and experiences during the study were carefully registered in meeting notes and a logbook. Participants were provided with the Empatica E4 smartwatch [23]. This device was investigated and validated in former research [23].
