While the ACE program is an onsite group intervention, previous research has shown that e Health can be used to provide audiological rehabilitation with positive results [15,16]. To facilitate the use and accessibility of the Swedish I-ACE program in audiological rehabilitation, the program was adapted for the online health portal for the public health care system, 1177.se.

Many individuals with COPD are older adults who may face difficulties using telehealth technologies, managing oxygen equipment, or accessing e Health resources [36]. Therefore, to enhance adherence outcomes, future telehealth-supported home oxygen interventions should be designed with greater sensitivity to patient characteristics, behavioral support needs, technological accessibility, and health care system contexts.

We hypothesized that the hybrid treatment arms would be more effective than the e Health-only arm. Given the mixed findings of previous research, we could not predict whether the group or individual format would differ in overall effectiveness.
This study was a randomized controlled trial (RCT) aiming to improve participants’ health behavior and thus, weight loss [31]. Participants were assigned to one of the 3 treatment arms: e Health, e Health+Group, or e Health+Individual.
