The increasing frequency of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (auto HSCT) to treat hematologic malignancies, especially among older adults, has contributed to increased survival [1,2]. Auto HSCT is preceded by myeloablative induction chemotherapy [3], which often leads to deconditioning and worsening of symptoms before transplant [4,5].
