Assessing Unmet Information Needs of Breast Cancer Survivors: Exploratory Study of Online Health Forums Using Text Classification and Retrieval

Mc Roy et al [11] examined questions sampled from several community question-answering Web sites. They developed a more fine-grained taxonomy than the one used here and methods to classify the specific type of information being requested, such as “definition”, “entity”, “explanation”, “property value”, “reference”, “diagnosis”, ‘outcome”, or “recommendation”, which would be useful for formulating a response, but is not needed for information retrieval.
