Chen and colleagues found that regional application of effective primary cancer prevention strategies on smoking, poor diet, and other modifiable risk factors had a vast potential to reduce the burden of cancer and disparities in China [9]. These suggested that interventional measures targeting the main risk factors might be possible to prevent lung cancer occurrence.
