In addition, chemotherapy is a highly stressful time involving long hospital visits and very high risks of infection and therefore a time when COVID-19 was likely to be of much concern. We chose the RDw BC board because it was likely to reflect the concerns of individuals immediately following their diagnosis and at the beginning of their treatment, a period that is very stressful and typically involves a high level of contact with health professionals and medical appointments.

This study is a part of a Ph D thesis and is published for the first time in a journal. A national EHR system has been proposed for the Republic of North Macedonia, and the aim of this study is to examine the factors that influence the adoption of such a system among GPs within the country. All GPs in the country worked in private settings, but they had active contracts with the National Health Insurance Fund and were obliged to follow the work instructions proposed by the fund.

Sharing and Empathy in Digital Spaces: Qualitative Study of Online Health Forums for Breast Cancer and Motor Neuron Disease (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)

We utilized a case-study approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon, undertaking qualitative analysis of a sample of threads from the online forum provided by Breast Cancer Care (a UK-based charitable organization) and a forum hosted by the Motor Neurone Disease Association (a charity providing support in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland). We also conducted semistructured interviews with 20 users of these forums.

This study formed part of a larger project called a "Shared Space and a Space for Sharing" [18], which investigated how and why people in a range of extreme circumstances share information online and the importance of trust and empathy in the process of sharing. In this paper, we focus on how people with life-threatening and terminal illnesses use online support forums to share information, emotions, and experiences.
