Abstract Animations for the Communication and Assessment of Pain in Adults: Cross-Sectional Feasibility Study

Abstract Animations for the Communication and Assessment of Pain in Adults: Cross-Sectional Feasibility Study

Initial animations were tested with a group of 16 participants (see Rao [10] for more description). After some revision and another iteration of design, a final set of eight animations was created and selected for testing. To simplify the reporting of results and identification of animations, the animations were loosely labeled as “pounding,” “shooting,” “throbbing,” “tingling,” “cramping,” “burning,” “stabbing,” and “electrifying.”
