The BCW is based on the capability, opportunity, motivation, and behavior (COM-B) model that suggests that interaction among 3 components, namely capability (C), opportunity (O), and motivation (M), produces behavior (B) that, in turn, influences them [34,38]. Thus, changing behavior requires changing ≥1 of these components. Each component is subdivided into 2 types as follows: physical and psychological capability, social and physical opportunity, and reflective and automatic motivation.
