The following equation shows how the predicted value of the machine learning model was calculated:
yi = ybase + f(xi1) + f (xi2) + … + f(xi N) (2)
In this equation, the ith sample was defined as xi, the jth feature of the ith sample was defined as xij, the predicted value of the machine learning model for the sample was yi, and the reference value of the model (ie, the mean value of the target sample variable) was defined as ybase.
