The Effects of a Parent-Focused Social Media Intervention on Child Sun Safety: Pilot and Feasibility Study

A P value of .05 was set for significance testing. Participant characteristics (92 parents and 92 children) are shown in Table 2. The majority of parents (73.9%, n=68) were female and about half (51.1%, n=47) of the children were female. About 80% of parents (n=78) and children (n=74) were White. Parents were relatively well-educated (56%, n=53 had completed a college or advanced degree) and married or cohabitating (70%, n=65).
