The Impact of Resistance Exercise on Muscle Mass in Glioblastoma in Survivors (RESIST): Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

The Impact of Resistance Exercise on Muscle Mass in Glioblastoma in Survivors (RESIST): Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Although safety and feasibility of resistance training have not been widely studied in a glioblastoma population, 3 case studies found that resistance training is safe and feasible for those with glioblastoma [45-47]. Most recently, Halkett et al [48] piloted a tailored exercise intervention for glioblastoma patients scheduled to receive radiation and chemotherapy. Patients participated in a 1-hour combined aerobic-resistance training sessions 3 times a week over the course of 7 weeks of chemotherapy.
