Therefore, we aimed to establish a digital home-based health care center (DHHC) that includes a smartphone to assess Qo L and document visual side effects, a smartwatch to record ECGs, and a white blood cell (WBC) system to analyze a patient’s WBCs from capillary blood. The primary focus of this study was to assess the feasibility and acceptance of such a digital remote system for cancer care in order to tailor a patient-centered solution and improve access to quality care.

To date, no study has examined the use of a DMR app for pregnant women with live user testing. The effect of displaying wearable data in a pregnancy app has also not been investigated to date. Thus, this work aimed to investigate the usability and perception of a medically guided DMR integrating wearable data by conducting a usability study using a DMR prototype app, think-alouds, and semistructured questionnaires.

In another study by El-Amrawy and Nounou [25], the device also showed the lowest accuracy compared with 17 other devices and a clinical pulse oximeter as a criterion device.
The validation study presented here was conducted as an initial groundwork for a large-scale observational study in obstetrics. As a pilot study, we aim to assess the performance of the selected devices in a healthy population to initially determine eligibility for longitudinal medical studies in general.

A PRO is widely defined as “any report of the status of a patient’s health condition that comes directly from the patient, without interpretation of the patient’s response by a clinician or anyone else” [11]. The concept of PRO takes into account the patient’s point of view concerning health status, therapy intervention, negative side effects, mental and functional components, satisfaction with care, drug adherence, and impact of progressive disease [9-14].

One of the frequently used questionnaires for measuring the HRQo L in patients with breast cancer is the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast (FACT-B), a validated, multidimensional questionnaire with 37 items that build 5 dimensions (subscales) when using a 5-point Likert scale [25-27].

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) defines a PRO as any report of the status of a patient’s health condition that comes directly from the patient (or in some cases, a caregiver or surrogate), without interpretation of the patient’s response by a clinician or anyone else [26]. PROs comprise various aspects of the subjectively perceived state of health from patient’s point of view, such as HRQo L, satisfaction with care, and drug adherence [27-29].

A PRO is defined as “any report of the status of a patient’s health condition that comes directly from the patient, without interpretation of the patient’s response by a clinician or anyone else” [4]. PROs comprise various aspects of the subjectively perceived state of health from the patient’s point of view, such as the health-related quality of life (HRQo L) [3-9].
