According to the Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) Theory, the characteristics of innovation are crucial to its adoption and use [21]. Therefore, we considered it important to use a pragmatic perspective to explore the characteristics of innovation through the views of its potential users. A qualitative descriptive approach allows data interpretation that closely reflects participants’ views and aims to uncover individuals’ perspectives on the studied phenomenon [22].
