Regarding Facebook, a female survivor explained as follows: I wouldn’t like it for the reason there’s no anonymity. I might not want everyone to know who I am when I am asking these questions because some people don’t want the world to know that they have cancer. Rural participants were less concerned about privacy and suggested using different names or aliases for anonymity: I’m very open about my cancer and a lot of people aren’t though.
