Structural Equation Model for Social Support and Quality of Life Among Individuals With Mental Health Disorders During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Structural Equation Model for Social Support and Quality of Life Among Individuals With Mental Health Disorders During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Awareness of the burden posed by mental health disorders is steadily growing on a global scale, particularly in low- and middle-income countries [1]. According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health disorders affected approximately 970 million people worldwide, constituting 12.8% of the population.

Efficacy of a Mobile Phone–Based Intervention on Health Behaviors and HIV/AIDS Treatment Management: Randomized Controlled Trial

Efficacy of a Mobile Phone–Based Intervention on Health Behaviors and HIV/AIDS Treatment Management: Randomized Controlled Trial

A study on HIV-positive children also recorded a mortality rate of 1.0 deaths per 100 child years at 4 months after ART initiation compared to 46 deaths per 100 child years in the first 4 months of other treatments [3]. As HIV/AIDS is hardly curable, ART is often a lifelong process, making adherence to treatment critical to its outcomes [4,5].

Preference and Willingness to Pay for the Regular COVID-19 Booster Shot in the Vietnamese Population: Theory-Driven Discrete Choice Experiment

Preference and Willingness to Pay for the Regular COVID-19 Booster Shot in the Vietnamese Population: Theory-Driven Discrete Choice Experiment

Therefore, one’s decision to receive a booster is influenced by a personal preference for known vaccine characteristics rather than a hypothetical evaluation of the vaccine’s severity, benefits, or public attitude, as suggested by previous frameworks. This change in the nature of predictors calls for a new approach to understanding vaccine acceptance: to investigate personal priorities for vaccine characteristics and assess the extent to which one is willing to take or pay in acknowledgment of risks.

Practices, Perceived Benefits, and Barriers Among Medical Students and Health Care Professionals Regarding the Adoption of eHealth in Clinical Settings: Cross-sectional Survey Study

Practices, Perceived Benefits, and Barriers Among Medical Students and Health Care Professionals Regarding the Adoption of eHealth in Clinical Settings: Cross-sectional Survey Study

A national e Health strategy was developed via a collaboration between the World Health Organization, the International Telecommunication Union, and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. This strategy includes (1) a national e Health vision; (2) an implementation road map for identifying key priorities in the national e Health context; and (3) a plan for monitoring and implementing risk management, assurances with long-term investment, and support [31].

A Crowdsourcing Open Contest to Design Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Promotion Messages: Protocol for an Exploratory Mixed Methods Study

A Crowdsourcing Open Contest to Design Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Promotion Messages: Protocol for an Exploratory Mixed Methods Study

Strategies to increase uptake of Pr EP among BMSM should utilize a bottom-up approach, such as a community-engagement approach, and allow community members to play prominent roles in developing, vetting, and implementing Pr EP campaigns and ensure messages can better address the needs and priorities of the community. Crowdsourcing is “an approach to problem solving which involves an organization having a large group attempt to solve a problem or part of a problem, then sharing solutions [2].”

Modeling Research Topics for Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medicine: Latent Dirichlet Allocation Application Study

Modeling Research Topics for Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medicine: Latent Dirichlet Allocation Application Study

The first idea of a thinking machine was developed in 1945 when a system that could amplify human knowledge was described in Vannevar Bush’s seminal work [1]. Five years later, Alan Turing mentioned a machine being able to imitate human action and gave chess playing as an example of actions that a computer could do [2]. In 1956, artificial intelligence (AI) was first coined by John Mc Carthy in a Dartmouth conference [3]. Since then, there have been a few definitions of AI [4-6].

Characterizing Artificial Intelligence Applications in Cancer Research: A Latent Dirichlet Allocation Analysis

Characterizing Artificial Intelligence Applications in Cancer Research: A Latent Dirichlet Allocation Analysis

Fortunately, many types of cancers can be prevented or effectively treated if patients are diagnosed in a timely manner and offered optimal therapies. In many parts of the world, however, programs for cancer control and prevention are facing multiple barriers because of limited health service infrastructure, availability of treatment options, and health worker capacities. Artificial intelligence (AI) is considered a disruptive innovation in health and medicine.

What Drives Young Vietnamese to Use Mobile Health Innovations? Implications for Health Communication and Behavioral Interventions

What Drives Young Vietnamese to Use Mobile Health Innovations? Implications for Health Communication and Behavioral Interventions

We selected a respondent as a seed of the Web RDS if he/she also was a high-energy sociometric star and committed to being generative in recruiting their peers in the study [29]. The response rate was 100%. Participants in the seed group were informed that they needed to assist in the recruitment of other participants through their individual social network. They could not only invite people from their schools, but also from other schools.

Perceptions of Health-Related Information on Facebook: Cross-Sectional Study Among Vietnamese Youths

Perceptions of Health-Related Information on Facebook: Cross-Sectional Study Among Vietnamese Youths

Notably, that study reported that a good proportion of students posted antitobacco messages on their social media account days after being exposed to tobacco prevention strategies in a classroom setting. Clearly, it is evident that Facebook is being used and perceived as a good tool to communicate health-related information [11].
