The study sites included 14 community service centers for older adults and 15 public rental estates in Hong Kong. The staff from the participating sites referred potential participants based on their age and frailty status at screening.
Designated research assistants, who were not involved in the intervention, obtained written informed consent and conducted screening interviews with the participants. The study protocol was approved by the institutional ethics committee (reference number EA1511048).
