A Weighted Voting Approach for Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula Classification Using Large Language Models: Algorithm Development and Validation Study

These formulas are defined as “those derived from ancient classical prescriptions that remain widely used today, demonstrate proven efficacy, exhibit distinctive characteristics and advantages, and were documented in medical texts prior to or during the Qing Dynasty.” However, after thousands of years of clinical practice, TCM has accumulated an immense number of formulas by the late Qing period, incomplete statistics indicate that over 100,000 had been recorded [7].
