All data were de-identified prior to analysis to ensure patient confidentiality. This study complies with ethical standards and guidelines for research involving human subjects.
All older adults (aged 65 years and older) with polypharmacy (5 or more active outpatient medications) presenting to an ED in a large academic medical center in the Northeast United States between January 2022 and March 2022 were identified.

Upon reaching the 3-meter mark, the individual executed a turn, walking back to the starting point, where they concluded the TUG process by returning to a seated position. This comprehensive description encapsulated the entire TUG procedure, providing a clear understanding of the task’s progression. To enhance data capture, 2 phones were used, one on the front and the other on the side.
