A baseline household survey was conducted in 64 rural communes from 3 districts in Nam Dinh province, northern Vietnam—Nghia Hung, Xuan Truong, and Hai Hau. The target population was a representative sample of the normal residents of 64 communes who were willing and able to give informed consent for participation.
