All participants were recruited between March 21, 2023, and May 26, 2023, from the San Diego County community and surrounding regions in Southern California following recommendations from the CAB. The members of the CAB provided ideas of places that could be targeted and input regarding the study pamphlet and flyers.

Socioculturally Appropriate Internet-Based Geriatric Care Model for Older Adults Living With HIV: Experience-Based Co-Design Approach

Socioculturally Appropriate Internet-Based Geriatric Care Model for Older Adults Living With HIV: Experience-Based Co-Design Approach

Virtual care platforms may struggle to capture the full range of physical and cognitive assessments needed to effectively manage these conditions. In addition, older adults with HIV may face difficulties with digital literacy, which can hinder their ability to use virtual care tools effectively [79]. This is particularly true for older adults who may already experience cognitive decline or sensory impairments.

It is reasonable to assume that people with IUD or GD combined with these comorbidities may have additional problems seeking analogue therapy. Therefore, easily accessible WBIs may be an important treatment option. The development of a self-guided WBI differs in many ways from the development of a guided WBI (eg, webcam-based individual counseling; Textbox 1) [8].

Extending availability and access to effective HIV prevention strategies, such as Pr EP, may help overcome these intersecting barriers and is consistent with the nation’s “Ending the HIV Epidemic” plan by “preventing new HIV transmissions by using effective interventions which include Pr EP” [26]. In addition to the individual barriers to Pr EP use mentioned above, there are also social and structural barriers to Pr EP uptake.

Size and Composition of Caregiver Networks Who Manage Medications for Persons Living With Dementia: Cross-Sectional Analysis of the 2011-2022 National Health and Aging Trends Study

Size and Composition of Caregiver Networks Who Manage Medications for Persons Living With Dementia: Cross-Sectional Analysis of the 2011-2022 National Health and Aging Trends Study

Hence, the objective of this analysis was to describe the characteristics of caregiver networks that manage medications for persons living with dementia and determine what factors may be associated with helping with medications in caregiver networks. This cross-sectional secondary data analysis used data from the 2011 through 2022 National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) “other person” files from rounds 1 through 12.

However, many of these shared activity interventions rely heavily on caregivers to plan and initiate activities, which may reduce shared positive affective states due to the caregiver-care recipient role, rather than equitable activity engagement [11]. For example, caregivers may find themselves in the role of an “instructor” or “supervisor,” rather than fully engaging in and receiving the emotional benefits of an activity.

Benchmarking the Confidence of Large Language Models in Answering Clinical Questions: Cross-Sectional Evaluation Study

Benchmarking the Confidence of Large Language Models in Answering Clinical Questions: Cross-Sectional Evaluation Study

We think that the observed miscalibration between correctness and confidence may pose risks in daily clinical practice if it remains unresolved. Overconfident models may recommend unsafe dosages or overlook key signs in a patient’s presentation, especially under the fast-paced pressures of modern practice. This could lead to incorrect prescriptions or treatments. For example, the model might prescribe an incorrect antibiotic for a resistant infection, thereby delaying proper care.
